We love all our sibling sites, including the shiny and new PS3 Fanboy which has really been through the wringer during the launch period. They've got a post up detailing how you can ditch your SIXAXIS and use the tried and true Xbox 360 controller instead. It's already able to use the Wiimote, now this -- so what's next? Atari 2600 controllers and laser pointers?

Anyhow, nice hack. If they can just make the rumble work on the PS3, that would be slammin'.

Until such time when mini fusion reactors are built into our wireless controllers, we will sadly be forced to buy batteries and recharge. As we reported yesterday, Nyko has developed a much needed Wii-mote dock with rechargeable NiMH batteries. A nice place to stick our Wii-motes and charge them at the same time. Suggested cost for the Wii recharge station is $29.99 USD.

Nyko's PS3 charge base is designed to hold four Emmy-winning Sixaxis wireless controllers. The PS3 base comes with a six foot standard wall plug, to not take up any USB ports or force you to leave your system on. The charge base for the PS3 is suggested to cost $39.99 USD. We can't help but wonder what cost there was in manufacturing -- or hidden cost in licensing -- that made this glorified wall outlet $10 more than the Wii station, which does the same thing but gives you two rechargeable NiMH "rubberized" battery packs. If you want to just full-on skip the docking station, Nyko also has a 10 foot long charge link for $14.99 that allows gamers to keep playing while they recharge their Sixaxis controller.

The second Xbox 360 (with HDMI): introducing "Zephyr"

Wow. This really takes us back to when we thought the Xbox 360's AV port was capable of digital out and it was only a matter of time before Microsoft released a proper HDMI adapter. Then came rumblings of a revised motherboard with an HDMI port located underneath the AV port (hmm ... curiously like the image above). Then back came the rumors about that HDMI cable.

Now, thanks to the above image nabbed by our buddies at Engadget, what's purported to be the second Xbox 360 (codenamed "Zephyr") can be seen rocking a dedicated HDMI port, for pain free 1080p. Also rumored to be included in the Xbox 360 v2 is a 120GB HDD, making those high-def downloads a little more palatable. No word on whether they're going to drop the comically priced $100 WiFi adapter and build that in as well, but the WiFi mounting brackets on the back aren't very reassuring. Although Engadget's insider says we can expect it "soon" we're left wondering about those smaller 65nm processors that were recently delayed. Are we gonna have to wait for Xbox 360 v3 for a cooler, quieter 360?

This is a new model of gamepad for PS3 developed by Nyko. The gamepad itself is called as "Zero". Ever since PS3 official gamepad announced, a lot of gamers getting dissapointed because the design of gamepad is just the same like ps2. Not only that, sony has decide to remove the "vibration" but add in SIXAXIS function. This may sounds cool and fresh, but because the fact that SIXAXIS is not reliable, it has once against dissapoint a lot of gamers.

"Zero" has been developed and going to launch for the purpose of fullfill gamer's need. But, seriously, the outlook for this gamepad didn't seems impress me. Anyway, there are not much information for this gamepad beside they just talking about the type of baterry is AA.

Anyway, the price for "Zero" is around 50 US dollar. Besides, there are 3 colors all togethers for these pad. Other than that, Nyko also decide to come out with a xbox360 gamepad as well.

Gates: Nintendo our "toughest" foe

Microsoft chairman cites the "surprising" strength of the DS and Wii as the biggest challenge to Xbox 360 supremacy.

When it comes to console rivalries, many think the most bitter feud is between Sony and Microsoft. Apparently Bill Gates doesn't. In an interview with Japanese TV at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the Microsoft chairman and world's richest man says he sees another console maker as the Xbox 360's primary rival.

"The strength of Nintendo...in the portable space, has been very impressive," Gates said in a video interview currently viewable on YouTube. "[It's] surprised a lot of people, I think, [that] and the Wii. We see Nintendo as our toughest competition."

Given that the interview was with Tokyo TV, it is possible Gates' comments were about the Japanese market, where the Xbox 360 trails far behind both the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. Naturally, many fanboys have taken Gates' comments as another indicator of Sony's greatly exaggerated demise. That viewpoint, though, overlooks the possibility Gates was intentionally slighting Sony in public as part of its ongoing war of words with the electronics giant.

Xbox 360 to Support IPTV

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Bill Gates used his annual keynote speech to talk about new uses for his Xbox 360 game device. Through a software update on Xbox Live, any current Xbox 360 will be able to act as a digital TV receiver and recorder in conjunction with Internet Protocal Television (IPTV). But to use your game machine as a TV device, you'll have to sign a deal with one of Microsoft's yet-to-be-announced IPTV partners. Companies like AT&T currently provide this service.

The plan is for the new software upgrade to come through these partners by this fall. For those who don't already own an Xbox 360, IPTV providers are expected to lease the machines, like cable companies lease set-top boxes. This means people won't have to put out $400 for a next generation game console come next Christmas.

Gamers will be able to perform the same types of functions while watching IPTV programs as they do while playing online games, which means voice chat and video conferencing are both possible. It also makes sense, since the receiver part of this device will eat up storage space on the 20GB hard drive, that Microsoft or these IPTV providers will bring out Xbox 360s with larger hard drives for storage.

Gamers can already buy HD TV content from dozens of networks like MTV, SpikeTV, CBS and Nickelodeon vis Xbox Live Marketplace. They can also download and rent HD movies from studios like Paramount and Warner Bros. Gamers can also buy a $200 HD-DVD drive to watch next generation movies through Xbox 360.

Once IPTV kicks in, the Xbox 360 will be even more of an entertainment device than it is now. While gaming will always be the focus, one true way to get these consoles into the mass market living rooms is through entertainment like TV and movies. And that's just what Microsoft is doing.

What we heard: Gamers hoping to flail about while playing the latest Japanese-only games on their US Wiis take note: Nintendo's next-gen console appears to be region-free.

The question of whether or not gamers will be able to play imported games on the upcoming console has been looming for quite some time now, with Nintendo neither confirming nor denying the feature. The company embraced region-free gaming with the Nintendo DS but has been evasive when asked if the Wii would follow suit.

However, today among the heavy stream of Wii news, Wired News said Nintendo of America VP of marketing and corporate affairs Perrin Kaplan had finally confirmed that the console will indeed be region-free--in theory.

"Will the Wii be region-free? Yes. Like the Nintendo DS, the Wii will be able to play games from other regions, such as Japan, without any restriction. Kaplan implied there might be a region lock that publishers would be able to flip on, but it doesn't sound like the first-party titles from Nintendo will be restricted."

Nintendo still has yet to make a wide, media-friendly announcement on the subject. Hyping a feature such as region-free gaming would seem to be a no-brainer, so the company's coy stance raised concerns. Even the article's author seemed a bit skeptical with a careful choice of words: "Kaplan implied there might be a region lock that publishers would be able to flip on, but it doesn't sound like the first-party titles from Nintendo will be restricted."

The official story: Getting answers from Nintendo proved difficult during one of the company's busiest days of the year. However, after a lengthy exchange of cryptic e-mails, a rep finally confirmed that Kaplan's words regarding regionless first-party titles and potentially regionless third-party titles were indeed correct: "[The] Wii will be region-free."

GameStop requiring trade-ins for Wii, PS3 pre-orders?

What we heard: Even on their best days, most gaming message boards are not known as level-headed venues where different ways of thinking are welcome or accepted. So when Cheap Ass Gamer forum-goer "Hack" posted a picture of a GameStop flier over the weekend that said the retailer was requiring the $50 deposit on Wii and PlayStation 3 pre-orders to be paid in game trade-ins (cash or credit not accepted!), there was naturally much ado.

Gamers took the news and ran with it, spreading it around various message boards and getting a bit of coverage from news aggregators as well. However, as the news spread, it seemed certain nuances were lost. The original poster, Hack, updated his post to clarify things as he understood them after a call back to the store where he picked up the flier.

"I will repeat that I never said this was official, or meant this to be an official nationwide announcement," Hack wrote in an update to his post. "As the beginning of this post has always stated (or rather, used to state), I'm not aware if this is a nationwide trend or not (and we have learned that it currently IS NOT). I do live in Hawaii, and therefore this could only be in my region. This is basically a small scale test of this new pre-ordering method. That means that if this test succeeds in Hawaii, it could possibly take effect nationwide."

It seems the GameStop employee who filled Hack in had the facts straight. A spokesman for the retailer told us today that the pre-order stipulation is real, but stressed that it is only a test, and one that the company is conducting only in Hawaii. He also said the test began and ended today, and that the company doesn't have an official nationwide program for pre-orders yet. It's unknown if Hawaiian customers will get another crack at pre-orders in the nationwide program, whatever form it may take.

The test is over, and it will be a little while before we see whether or not GameStop decides to embrace that strategy on a nationwide basis. However, it seems likely that GameStop, and possibly other retailers as well, would do something to improve their bottom line on console launches.

Whereas the profit on new game hardware is traditionally very small, the profit on selling used games is considerably higher. Requiring trade-ins to cover the deposit would be one way for retailers to better their bottom lines without requiring the bundled purchases that have become common from online retailers, including GameStop's own Web store.

Bogus or not bogus?: Bogus that the plan is nationwide. Not bogus that GameStop was using Hawaii to test consumer reaction to the idea.

GamePro Expo is E for All

New gaming convention from IDG renamed "E for All Expo"; open-to-public exposition christened through contest.

In November, trade show producers IDG World Expo announced that it would be holding a contest to name its upcoming gaming convention, originally dubbed GamePro Expo. The group received more than 3,000 submissions from contestants, all vying for the grand prize of winning a trip to the show.

Less than two months later, we have a winner.

California resident Dante Padre submitted the winning entry, "Entertainment for All Expo," and will win a trip to Los Angeles to attend the show, which runs October 18-20. As the Electronic Entertainment Expo was typically shortened to E3, the Entertainment for All Expo will be known as E for All Expo.

"This show seems to be about inviting everyone to participate; they even asked gamers to create the name," said Padre on his winning entry.

The consumer event will be open to the public and held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. IDG is currently working on the show's program, which it expects to include tournaments, a job fair, "family-friendly offerings," and the Video Games Live concert. National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences bestows tech honor on the PlayStation 3's motion-sensitive controller.

After being the subject of some slings and arrows from the media, the PlayStation 3 has racked up one of the media's highest honors. Tonight at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will give Sony a Technology and Engineering Emmy Award for the PS3's Sixaxis controller. Like the Wii remote, the Sixaxis can sense motion, allowing players to control onscreen action by moving the controller.

Sony was understandably pleased by the announcement. "The critical acclaim for PS3 is a testament of the platform's strength and the industry's desire for a true next-generation entertainment system," said recently installed Sony Computer Entertainment president CEO Jack Tretton. Tretton assumed his new post in mid-December, shortly before Time magazine labeled the PS3 launch "a bust." Sony has since announced the console shipped 1 million units in North America in 2006, nearly double the number of Xbox 360s sold in 2005. Both consoles went on sale in mid-November of their respective launch years.

Besides the Emmy, CES will see the PlayStation 3 receive several other honors, including the 2007 CES Best of Innovations Award, PC World's 20 Most Innovative Products Award, Sound & Vision's Editor's Choice Award, and Digital Entertainment Group's Emiel N. Petrone Digital Innovation Award.

Game retailer's COO says Sony's new console is now in abundant supply--while the Wii remains hard to come by.

For first-party game companies, 2006's holiday season was a critical point in the next-generation console war. Industry trackers have kept a keen eye on the sales performance of the Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, but official numbers aren't expected out of NPD until later this month.

However, at CES yesterday, Sony confirmed that it had shipped out more than 1 million PS3s to North America, and expects 6 million to be available worldwide by March. Now it appears that Sony has overcome its supply issues.

Daniel A. DeMatteo, vice chairman and COO of GameStop, late last week said PS3s are available at "hundreds of the company's 3,700 outlets," according to the New York Times. The Wii, on the other hand, is still hard to come by.

"We got some [Wiis] in yesterday in really limited supply, and they virtually disappeared," DeMatteo said, according to the NYT.

The $250 Wii and $499/$599 PlayStation 3 were very difficult to purchase after their November launches, as gamers lined up outside stores at times days in advance to buy the systems. DeMatteo says this is the first time that PS3 stock has remained unsold in his stores.

Over the weekend, GameSpot editors visited a local EB Games, which is owned by GameStop, and found PS3s available for purchase. As for the Wii, one clerk told GameSpot, "We got some in earlier this week and they were gone in five minutes."

The availability of PS3s can be spun good or bad, depending on which side of the next-gen war one is on. Pro-Sony gamers will note that more PS3s in stores simply means more PS3s that will be sold. On the other hand, doomsayers will simply see ample stock as evidence that consumers aren't buying the system.

Microsoft has released a minor dashboard update for Xbox 360 that tackles a long-running VGA output issue and tweaks a couple of other areas for her pleasure etc.

Automagically acquired when you next log in to Xbox Live, the patch promises improved support for HD video output over VGA, including 1080p, as well as improved plug and play performance for wired headsets used with wireless controllers.

Xbox Live director of programming Major Nelson's blog also notes that eagle-eyed gamers will spot changes made to the "recently played games" list to improve its accuracy.

Anyway, you don't have to download the update, remember, but you won't be able to connect to Xbox Live until you do. Instead you will be an outcast, forced to wander the Internet alone, and that will be rubbish and so on.

Ever since ps3 launched, blu-ray problems has caused a lot of doubts and dissatisfaction from share holders. Besides, the cost for blu-ray teachnology is too high for now. Whether this is true or not, we'll just wait and see...

刚在一个美国论坛上看到这个帖子，可信度很高。
大意是ps3 已被一个叫Paradox DO破解，方法和破解psp类似。用一个ps3 iso loader就可以使用下载得镜像。估计到3月份，ps3在欧洲上市，这个小组会公布破解方法。

The best place to monitor for PS3 iSO Loader news/gossip is iRC EFNet #PS3News, mainly as this is where some of the ParaGods hang out (in disguise, of course) and occasionally you may see some additional 'info/gossip' on their loader leaked there.

Here is what I can 100% confirm thus far: Paradox DO have a PS3 iSO Loader already. It works by running the PS3 iSOs from the HDD via an exploit/security vulnerability in Firmware v1.00-1.10. Newer versions may work as well, however, speaking with them these are the only versions they have confirmed to me thus far as exploitable/fully working with it.

The good news is, similar to PSP we won't have to open our $600 PS3 consoles to be able to run PS3 back-up images... nor will we have to mess with expensive Blu-ray burners or BRD media.

The bad news is, as soon as news (specific tech info) of the actual exploit is public $ony will patch it IMMEDIATELY and it will be useless until another is found. This is obvious of course, but stock PS3's here in the US are already coming shipped with 1.10 firmware versus 1.00 so I'm sure it won't be long until they get shipped with even higher from the factory.

Finally, as to why else is Paradox waiting on releasing their loader? Well, unofficially speaking (since it's all just rumors anyway until something tangible is released) I've heard two reasons as follows:

1) They are waiting for the EUR PS3 launch before they share their PS3 exploit(s) publically since THEY (Paradox) are primarily a EUR release group... meaning their members wish to get as low of "stock FW" version as possible upon launch, versus releasing the exploit(s) now and then being stuck with 3.xx firmware with even more hole patches/protection for their families and friends, etc which wouldn't likely run PS3 iSOs for some time yet.

2) They are waiting on more GOOD games to come out for PS3 before sharing the exploit(s). This is because if they do it now, then $ony developers will simply update their $DK's/libs/etc and the new games will not work with their exploit(s) anyway... and the current limited number of PS3 games on the market (to them) simply aren't "worthy" of being exploited publically yet.

Finally, if someone else (another release group, etc) were to publically release the PS3 exploit information or exploit itself then Paradox would likely share theirs at that time as well (similar to how they did the PS2 Machine ID changer when CORE released their BETA one). However, Paradox simply doesn't wish to be "first" in doing so until THEY are ready (again, after the EUR PS3 launch) unless similar info is already public by someone else.

Hopefully this answers some questions... rest assured as any new info/pics/etc of the PS3 iSO Loader is available we'll pass it along here guys!

Takne from the new DMC movie, the director is slowly posting them out on his Myspace account. The date for the trailer and the movie site was supposed to be on the 24th August, but for some reason, he's moved it back to the 23rd September (the supposed date that DMC4 is going to be shown at TGS) .

I'm sure many of you have played the Devil May Cry series of action games. Devil May Cry will once again be sporting its demon-slaying, gun-toting, sword-swinging goodness on TV screens - but this time it will take the form of Anime. There will be 12 episodes all together.

The free download won't feature online play, series producer Kazunori Yamauchi told Famitsu, but it will offer network rankings based on times achieved in different cars. Hey guys, today i'm going to show you something interesting. Do you guys ever fall in love with games? I'm sure most of you do. But, today i'm going to show you how crazy somebody is. I don't know who the guys is..but this guy amazingly modified the cupboard to be a "game" board, it looks just totally fantastic. In other words, this guy is crazy. Although the game-board is well done but for my suggestion, you can fall in love with games, but not too extreme just like this guy. Hm...maybe his ocupation is actually a game tester, who knows~ :)

A lot of adult and even old people like to play games actually, just that keep denied and refuse to play because they have same mind set which playing games is a waste of time. Today, i've discover a clip and show old peoples playing wii. I'm so happy to see how happy on thier facial expression when playing games. It is truly amazing ... Wii cure old people mindset. Wii not only bring hapiness to old people, but also give an opportunity for players to exercise thier body. December 19, 2006 - The Wii Remote and its creation is a subject that interests many, and in the past we've been able to take a look at early prototypes and patent images, which have managed to shed a little light on exactly how Nintendo's killer controller came to be.

The Nikkei Business magazine in Japan has apparently published an image depicting four previously unseen controllers, and a couple of them are quite similar to the final product. One of them is downright crazy, though.

Nintendo Wii owners will find that there's a new update available for their console today - with the most visible change, once you've finished staring at the glacial progress bar, being that the Weather channel has now been activated.

The new channel is perhaps best described as basic but functional, giving high and low temperature extremes and a quick weather description for a large number of cities around the world, as well as a five-day forward forecast.

Perhaps the nicest feature is a 3D globe of the Earth, which you can spin around to view the weather in cities all around the world - although sadly, there's no way of doing clever things like viewing weather satellite data superimposed on the globe.

At present, the service appears to have some teething problems - late this morning it was still displaying a "Current" weather page for London which was timestamped at 3am this morning and claimed that the moon was shining brightly, for one thing. It's also somewhat patchy in its coverage - while most major towns in the UK have their own localised forecast, an attempt to check out the weather in the area of Ireland where I'll be spending Christmas revealed that only Dublin is covered, and even then there isn't a five day forecast for that city.

Still, it's up and running - and while more technical users will undoubtedly scoff, since there are of course much more detailed weather reports available online in various places, we can see how having a nice, simple and accessible weather forecast available from the living room TV will be useful for some people.

The only remaining Wii Channel which is viewable on the dashboard but hasn't been launched is the News channel - although given the sense of looming dread we have about that one, perhaps it's better if that remains a blank square simply saying "NEWS" for as long as possible...

Pointing the remote control at the television like your ageing parents is now a hip thing to do, thanks to Nintendo. And now there's a trial version of the Opera Web browser on the Wii, available from Friday, perhaps you can even teach the the old dears a thing or two about new technology.

The deal with Opera Software will see the full version of the browser becoming available by March 2007, and will be free for Wii users to download until June 2007; from then onwards it will cost 500 Wii points from the Wii Shop Channel.

Surfing the web is just one of the options available from the console's Menu Channels. The Internet Channel joins the Disc Channel, Photo Channel, Mii Channel and Wii Shop Channel, as well as the freshly launched Forecast Channel.

It's all part of Nintendo's grand plan to expand who plays games.

Blizzard's released a corking cinematic introduction movie for World of Warcraft expansion The Burning Crusade, ahead of the add-on's January 16 launch.

The CGI footage shows the two new races to be introduced by the hugely anticipated release, the Blood Elves and Draenei, as well as an ominous message from super-villain Illidan Stormrage.

As well as the additional character types, the first full expansion pack to the multi-million selling MMORPG will also include a new area, The Outlands. This continent will increase the game's size by a third, obviously hosting new cities, dungeons, and quests.

In addition, players will see the level cap increased from 60 to 70 by The Burning Crusade, and can look forward to a new profession in jewel-crafting and - finally - getting their hands on flying mounts. Check out Eurogamer's preview for more details.

Recently released 'Before the Storm: Patch 2.0' included many changes to the game in preparation for the update. New talents were introduced, the honour system revamped, and arena combat added: full patch-notes can be found on the World of Warcraft community site.

Guess what! Grandparents and baby boomers want tech products like Nintendo DS for Christmas, according to research commissioned by, er, Nintendo.

The survey, conducted by Harris Interactive by telephone in the US, claims that - to within a three percent margin of error - 52 percent of grandparents and 68 percent of baby boomers would quite like a "technology product" for Christmas.

Apparently at least half of that group said that they would quite like a portable videogame system (like a DS Lite, hint hint) this year.

Harris Interactive apparently conducted the survey by ringing up 1,025 adults over 18, and weighting responses for age, sex, geographic region and race to bring them into line with their actual proportions in the population.

"Sampling error for the sub-samples of parents (n=654), grandparents (n=399) and baby boomers (n=380) would be higher and would vary," if you're interested. "However, that does not take other sources of error into account."

Like the fact most grandparents actually don't want you to worry about getting them anything for Christmas. That's what mine said. Are they saying my gran's a liar? Watch it, Nintendo.

Overheating issues force a recall in Japan

A faulty batch of DS Lite chargers in Japan have been recalled by Nintendo after an overheating issue has raised safety concerns.

A statement on Nintendo's Japanese site identifies the batch of power cables affected, and calls for them all to be returned, with a replacement sent to everyone affected.

No serious malfunctions or incidents have been reported, so we assume this is simply a precaution taken by Nintendo. It has been confirmed that these issues do not affect European and US territories.

Sony has announced Eye of Judgement, a card game affair for PS3 which the company promises will allow new ways of interacting with the Playstation 3 console. Because, ya see, it makes use of "the ground-breaking technology" of Sony's EyeToy-style "next generation camera".

In fact, Sony showed the title at its E3 press conference yesterday, with our team in attendence describing it thus: "It's a bit like Pokemon but using the EyeToy. You use your hands to move cards around, and then little animals fight."

Anyway, the idea is that it's a kind of 3D version of trading card games, where the characters and monsters normally moping around in 2D are brought to life in the third dimension.

Players use a 3' by 3' board and trading cards that are encrypted with a 'cybercode', and waving this cybercode in front of the camera unleashes your 3D monster or character for battle. As you'd expect, each character and/or monster boasts a variety of skill sets, Sony explaining that "Players take turns to place cards as they jostle for control of the board; the winner is the first player to capture five of the nine squares. The Eye of Judgment presents the player with more than 30 cards, as well as unique online and offline gameplay."

Honestly, after i saw these few pictures below, i'm quite dissapointed. The graphics seems a pc game... even pc games far better than this games i think. I'm not trying to criticize this games here, but the modelling of the characters looks weird..Yea, i know is looks like human, but just not realistic enough.. PS3 did rendered the environment, models, lighting effect very well ..PS3 done a great job. Just don't know whats the problem with this game, is more like a ps2 game. Well, what i know is a good game always came from good developers. Perhaps, we'll just keep on eye how's the gameplay for this game :)

首先是对Phil Harrison的采访。上来就说Phil实在是高。至少有2m了。不过人还是很好的。
作者问的问题是，他最近最喜欢的非PS游戏是什么。回答是任天狗。说到对玩家人群的扩展，也提到了PS上也有类似的游戏，比如Buzz和Singstar。

至于对于玩家自制程序的问题，Phil说这分成两类：好的和坏的。很显然，坏的就是指盗版。而其他的所有程序应该都算是好的。而他把PSP上的自制程序归为了坏的一类。至于PS3上，还是肯定的说不会让Linux使用RSX。恐怕主要还是盗版的问题。

有人问到PS3的未来发展。他说对于PS3，扩展的空间很大。比如说各种USB和Bluetooth外设，只要有相应的软件支持，各种外设都会可以使用。当然这些软件需要SCE来提供。PS2就不能做到这一点。

还有人提到了VGA线的问题。Phil没有正面回答，不过还是说，PS3的输出还是会以HDMI为主。看他的意思，是说HDMI才是未来的标准，VGA已经过气了，不支持也无所谓。

然后作者找到了一个Sony的PR部门的人，和他聊了聊，这里面好像有更多有趣的信息。
首先还是欧洲发售日期的问题。回答还是说目标为3月，在财年结束之前。他还说到即使是少量的发售，也要比延期好。至于20G的问题，还是会有，但数量不会很多。
提到了多任务的问题。比如游戏的时候听音乐或者打开浏览器。回答是肯定的。后台下载也会有。

至于USB WiFi适配器的问题，他的回答是，Sony没有这方面的计划。因为现在市场上已经有很多这样的产品，而且价格也是SCE无法竞争的。所以可能还是会采用软件支持一般产品的方式。

至于新Eyetoy的问题，他的回答是可以关注3月份，当Eye of Judgement应该发售的时候。不过他也不敢确定。

这一段是很有趣的。当作者问到他对PS3的PR工作怎么看的时候，他的回答是：第一，欧洲发售将不会很高调。因为晚了这么久才发售不是一个很值得宣传的事实。另外，他说到Sony已经认识到了06年的E3是一场”绝对的灾难“。（Secondly we know and accept that E3 2006 was an absolute disaster for the company and the PlayStation line）。他也说到在当时Sony显得十分自大，并说PR策略以后将会变得更公开和诚恳。

最后他说到了Killzone。通过他看到的少量视频来看，这个游戏已经接近了E3 05上的标准。

Sony still planning to ship 2m PlayStation 3 units by 2007

Sony Corporation has said it is still on track to ship 2 million PS3 units by the end of the year, despite manufacturing problems and a failure to meet the day one shipment target for North America.

Speaking at a press conference in Tokyo, Sony president Ryoji Chubachi said, "It is true that it took us some time to bring the PS3 to mass production as blue laser availability worked as a bottleneck."

However, he went on to observe that sales of the console are meeting Sony's expectations, adding, "I don't think we need to revise our shipment targets... 2 million and 6 million are within our reach.''

Nintendo offers to replace Wii straps

Nintendo has offered to replace more than 3.2 million Wii remote straps after users complained that the connecting cord broke too easily.

However, a spokesperson for the company insisted that the offer was "not a recall". The current wrist-strap is "perfectly safe and has passed all the required safety tests" and there is "absolutely nothing wrong" with it, Eurogamer was told.

The measure is simply being taken to ensure peace of mind among the Wii's early user base, the spokesperson added.

Nintendo says it has already started shipping Wii remote control accessories - crowned as America's best-selling just this week - with the updated strap.

In a separate announcement, the company said it was also recalling 200,000 AC adapters for the Japanese versions of the DS and DS Lite handhelds.

Nintendo UK will start offering the strap-replacement service for concerned gamers on Monday, 18th December. Users need to call customers services on 0870 60 60 247 or send an email, and will then be able to send back their strap, after which Nintendo will dispatch a replacement.

Overnight the platform holder set up a form on its American and Japanese websites (with an equivalent European service expected to follow) asking customers to provide their name, address and console serial number, after which a replacement strap will be dispatched.

Nintendo aims to begin shipping replacement straps direct to consumers on 21st December, and says to allow 5 to 9 days for delivery in the US and Canada.

A page on the company's website also hosts a comparison photograph to help customers work out whether they need a replacement.

Complaints about the strap's flimsy connection to the Wii remote controller received widespread attention in the aftermath of the console's launches in the US, Japan and Europe, prompting Nintendo to issue advice on how best to avoid mishap.

At the time, company president Satoru Iwata said that Nintendo was "investigating" the problem and how best to solve it.

I remembered this is a very fun mini game and my friends and i were crazy about this game during college time. The graphics is good, the characters design are cute, the gameplay is easy to understand and play with. It supports several players to fight together as well, is pretty cool~

Sony has released a little backwards compatibility update for the PlayStation 3, allowing US and Japanese gamers to play PS2 titles that require use of the hard disk.

The update comes in the form of another firmware patch, to version 1.31, which can either be downloaded from Sony's support site or collected via the System Update menu on the Cross Media Bar.

If you've actually got a PS3 (I only seem to turn mine on to install firmware updates), you can keep track of which PS2 games work by using Sony's online research tool.

And if you're not bothered about hard disk-based PS2 titles, unless of course you missed the 1.30 update, which introduced things like support for the BD-ROM remote control accessory, among other things.
